FY25 Local Priorities
The Lakeville Arts Council’s (LAC) ongoing mission is to encourage and support the arts as a vital part of our community. The Arts allow us to become who we can be. Imagine the world without music, dance, literature or art. The Lakeville Arts Council strives to support all forms of art within our community so everyone can experience the arts in its’ many diverse forms. The Lakeville Arts Council strives to achieve these goals by evaluating grant requests and allocating the funds provided by the Mass Cultural Council to projects which will best serve Lakeville residents.
FY25 Local Guidelines
Artists, writers, musicians, schools, community organizations, and event organizers are all encouraged to apply.
All Grants should take place at a location in Lakeville; at the library, COA, a school, or other. Community organizations, and event organizers from near-by towns may apply if they feel a significant number of Lakeville residents have attended in the past or will attend at their venue. However, Grants taking place in Lakeville have priority. Each Grantee planning to have their Grant take place in Lakeville needs to have contacted the Host location and obtained a letter from the director or other which indicates that the location will host the program. This letter must accompany the Grant.
