Dunstable Cultural Council

The Dunstable Cultural Council receives its state allocation from Mass Cultural Council. The Council’s mission is to provide entertaining educational programs for the community of Dunstable. Each year, the council members re-appropriate state funds provided to Dunstable for programs in the arts, sciences, and humanities for the benefit of our townspeople.

FY27 Local Priorities

The Dunstable Cultural Council gathers community input annually and develops funding priorities based on this feedback. Based on our August 2026 survey results, the Dunstable Cultural Council will prioritize:
• Events that benefit children, teenagers, families, adults, and Seniors.
• Live Music Concerts & Events
• Local events held in Dunstable that benefit a variety of people in the town and provide opportunities for unity in our community through art, music, and cultural experiences.
• Cultural Food and Culinary Education Events
• Nature & Agricultural programs
• Events that are held locally on Town Common, Town Hall, Larter Field, Library, School, or other properties in town
• Programs focused on the Indigenous history of Dunstable & surrounding communities

FY27 Local Guidelines

In addition to the state criteria, applications will be evaluated using the following review criteria:
• How well the program meets our local priorities.
• Community support and involvement.
• Have secured a local venue.
• Evidence of track record and dedication of the applicant.
• Ability to address the diverse cultural needs of a community’s underserved populations or support diverse forms of cultural activities
• Financial need
• Demonstrated planning
