Boxford Cultural Council
The Boxford Cultural Council is a community organization supported through funding from the Massachusetts Cultural Council. The BCC is made up of community members who vet and vote on grant applications submitted to us on an annual basis. We believe that a strong presence of the arts, science and humanities is essential to build a strong community and a thriving educational system. Our primary objective is to develop and fund projects that weave these elements into the fabric of our community. The BCC actively encourages local artisans, musicians, teachers and school organizations to submit grants for consideration to the Cultural Council.

FY22 Local Priorities
Considering the fluidity of CoVid-19 circumstances, applicants for in-person programs will need to contact the hosting venue & determine how state CoVid-19 guidelines for spacing, masks, & size of group will be addressed. The date for the Project needs to be determined & stated in the application. It should be understood by the grant applicant & hosting venue that a program might have to be rescheduled if the venue is closed due to Covid-19.
For this reason, applicants who intend to comply with all CoVid-19 guidelines as determined by the Boxford Board of Health, AND applicants who are able to provide their program online (via Zoom), outdoors, or using a lower risk delivery option will be given priority in the selection process for 2022 grant awards. All grant submissions must include a letter from the hosting venue stating the date and time of the program(s) for which the application is being submitted, and their willingness to host the program. Because of spacing requirements, most programs will require preregistration.
Preference will be given, but not limited to, local grant applicants (“local” meaning those who live in Boxford or surrounding communities). The project must serve Boxford residents. All grant awards are contingent to 2022 state budget allocations for local cultural councils through MCC.
FY22 Local Guidelines
