Agawam Cultural Council
The Agawam Cultural Council is an all-volunteer local partner of the Massachusetts Cultural Council, a state agency, and is funded, in part, by the MCC.
The ACC is charged with advancing the Arts in our community by dispersing state-provided monies via a grant application process. In addition, utilizing funds from our own fundraising efforts — including freewill audience donations — we have made it our mission to present a range of engaging, entertaining, and educational events open to audiences of all ages
from Agawam and the surrounding communities.

FY26 Local Priorities
This grant season, the council’s focus is on distributing grant funding for cultural events that are open to the general public for in-person attendance or made available for public viewing through exhibits. Grant applications that only benefit specific groups or individuals will NOT be approved.
FY26 Local Guidelines
All grant submissions must include a letter indicating approval to use the location indicated in the application as well as a letter stating how the project benefits the general public as a whole and NOT specific groups or individuals. These supporting documents should be uploaded to the additional documents section of the online grant application website. Any application submitted without both of the required documents will be denied for failure to comply with the guidelines. As a condition of grant approval, the Agawam Cultural Council may request the grant applicant to appear before the council to provide additional information and answer questions.
