Montreal Jazz Fest, Lowell Folk Festival, Lincoln Center, The Kennedy Center, 8th Ethiopian Music Festival 2009, SXSW. Mekonnen also performs regularly within the Ethiopian American community at weddings, adoption community gatherings, and student group events.
