This year, to curate information and build awareness about opportunities and resources that may be of interest to the creative and cultural sector, Mass Cultural Council will host virtual sessions with public partners. This Spotlight Series is meant to supplement existing information, marketing, and outreach being conducted by other state agencies on their programming and initiatives, but also provide members of the creative and cultural sector an opportunity to engage and ask questions about these resources.
This month, we’re hosting the Massachusetts Office of Travel and Tourism (MOTT) to share more about the Massachusetts 250 Grant Program. This new competitive grant program supports the commemoration of the 250th anniversary of the American Revolution. It will fund projects that highlight historic themes of revolution and independence, celebrate significant “firsts” in Massachusetts history, or take a creative or innovative approach to commemorating the state’s past 250 years.
Grants will range from $5,000-$100,000 and applicants must demonstrate how the project will increase domestic and/or international leisure travel to and within Massachusetts.
Applications are due August 26, 2024 at 3pm and must be submitted through MOTT’s online application portal. Awards will be announced in September 2024. Program guidelines are available on MOTT’s website.
Auto-generated captions will be provided. If you have additional questions or to request additional accommodations to ensure your participation, please contact the the Public Affairs team.
