Creative Space DNA: Working with Architects
Event Date 05.29.2026
Time 12pm
Join Mass Cultural Council and the ArtStaysHere Coalition for a new Creative Space Development Network Accelerator (DNA) online discussion for those who are developing, preserving, operating, and advocating for a healthier creative space ecosystem across Massachusetts. Each session will focus on a particular aspect of creative space preservation and development, and we’ll make sure there’s time for questions and discussion beyond the featured subject. Our goal is to provide an open and dynamic network of actively engaged space operators and advocates.
This month, we’re welcoming the Boston Society for Architecture and Architects Resources of Cambridge for a discussion of the role of architects and to learn some insider tips and considerations.
The discussion will cover:
- Working with architects and stages of the design process.
- Sub-contractors on the design team.
- The latest research from the BSA on how collaborative arts organizations establish and manage space.
- How renovating and repositioning existing space can expand opportunities for artists and organizations.
We welcome your input on potential topics for future sessions. Please be in touch with Jay Paget with any suggestions and ideas.
This is an interactive session where any questions you have can be addressed by our panelists.
