As organizational leaders of youth arts programs throughout Massachusetts, Mass Cultural Council, in partnership with The Klarman Family Foundation, Linde Family Foundation, and EdVestors, invites Executive Directors to join us for a virtual convening as the field prepares to reopen programs in the fall of 2021. Many Creative Youth Development programs are working hard to institute strong safety protocols, help families and their youth feel comfortable in returning, and address questions and misinformation.
This discussion will address the different concerns of governing structures, staff, and youth/families in order to identify effective practices. Our conversation will include brief presentations and updates from Anthony Beatrice, Executive Director for the Arts for the Boston Public Schools, and Andrea Howard, Executive Director of the West End House. We will then move into breakout rooms to discuss specific policies and practices based on discipline before coming back together as a group.
