AAM Hosting Massachusetts Cultural Leaders Convening on May 19

The Reimagining of Philanthropy’s Commitment to Racial Equity

American Alliance of Musuem's 2022 Annual Meeting & MuseumExpo - May 19-22 - Boston

The Local Host Committee of the American Alliance of Museums (AAM) 2022 Annual Meeting & MuseumExpo has created a special program for Massachusetts cultural leaders to coincide with AAM’s annual conference at the Boston Convention and Expo Center.

On May 19 from 1-2:30pm, leaders from Massachusetts cultural organizations are invited to a discussion panel entitled, The Reimagining of Philanthropy’s Commitment to Racial Equity, featuring leaders of the philanthropic community including:

  • Jim Canales, President & Trustee of the Barr Foundation, and Panel Chair
  • Lee Pelton, President & CEO of The Boston Foundation
  • Michael J. Bobbitt, Executive Director of Mass Cultural Council
  • Makeeba McCreary, President of the New Commonwealth Racial Equity and Social Justice Fund
