$7.2M Invested in Cultural Organizations Statewide

More than 100 leaders from arts and cultural organizations gathered at the Boston Children’s Museum February 27 to celebrate the extraordinary success of the EBT Card to Culture, an innovative new program that opens doors to culture for residents of limited financial means.
Massachusetts First Lady Lauren Baker headlined the program, at which speakers lauded the unique partnership between Mass Cultural Council and the state Department of Transitional Assistance. The Department issues EBT Cards to help low-income residents purchase food and other necessities.
In the first year and a half, Massachusetts residents have used the EBT Card to Culture in more than 250,000 admissions to our museums, theaters, music halls, and historic sites statewide.
