Nat Bergin is a recent Bard College graduate with a BA in Architecture, based in the Boston area. Her work sits at the intersection of architecture, historic preservation, material culture, research, and visual representation.
Her architectural work has focused on historic buildings, adaptive reuse, spatial and archival research, mapping, and the ways architecture can reveal social and material histories. Her senior project investigated architectural ruins through drawing, photography, archival research, and speculative reconstruction, with a particular focus on Melrose Abbey in Scotland.
Alongside architectural work, Nat has experience researching and cataloguing art, antiques, books, furniture, and collectible objects in a curated vintage retail environment. She currently undertakes freelance architectural rendering, 3D modelling, spatial planning, and visualisation work for local businesses.
She is particularly interested in opportunities involving historic preservation, museums and cultural institutions, archives and collections, architectural research, exhibition and interpretive work, and design. She works with Rhino 3D, Grasshopper, QGIS, Adobe Creative Suite, photography, archival research, and architectural drawing and visualisation.
