Nighthouse Studio is a multidisciplinary artist collaborative founded by Elaine Buckholtz and Floor van de Velde, operating in the space between art, architecture, and landscape.The studio’s work activates space and transforms environments and sites into quiet spectacles, creating poetic and dynamic renderings of built and natural spaces and inciting a sense of wonder for the viewer.
By activating space with light, sound, and sculptural elements, viewers engage with familiar renderings and are taken on unfamiliar rides, framed as experiential scores: a set of parameters that the public can interact with as they generate their own experience through their own individual curiosity.Working with projects of all scales, Nighthouse Studio realizes ideas from concept to construct, producing spacial experiences that involve the dynamic interaction between the environment and the larger public.
