Event Date 11.06.2025

Time 10am

Join Mass Cultural Council for a webinar with energy audit consultants from New Ecology and the Massachusetts Department of Energy and Resources (DOER) to learn more about what cultural organizations can do to plan for the future.

Decarbonizing Your Cultural Facility: how the Cultural Facilities Fund (CFF) can help with energy audits, action plans, and compliance with building performance requirements. Organizations may consider applying for a CFF grant to support their decarbonization goals in alignment with the state’s Clean Energy and Climate Plan for 2050.

In this webinar, attendees will:

  • Learn about Green Building Performance Requirements already in place or coming soon.
  • Explore strategies for electrification in cultural facilities.
  • Learn about the decarbonization audit and action plan conducted by New Ecology for Lynn Museum & Arts Center funded in part by the Cultural Facilities Fund.
  • For buildings over 20,000 square feet, learn about the Commonwealth’s new Large Building Energy Reporting Law and how it intersects with other municipal benchmarking ordinances.
  • Learn how to obtain and submit their building’s energy data to the Department of Energy Resources (DOER).

Presenters include:
