Mass Cultural Council and its partners announce an historic investment in the creative and cultural sector through two Cultural Sector Recovery Grant programs during a press conference and celebration in the Great Hall at the Massachusetts State House. More than $50M in pandemic recovery funds will go to cultural organizations, artists, creatives, culture bearers, and gig workers across Massachusetts to support recovery from the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic. During the one-hour event the Agency will also announce a series of celebrations to take place in Western, Central, Northeastern, and Southeastern Massachusetts this spring.
Executive Director Michael J. Bobbitt will be joined by Senator Ed Kennedy and Representative Carole Fiola, Co-Chairs of the Joint Committee on Tourism, Arts, and Cultural Development along with representatives from MASSCreative and Mass Humanities for a brief speaking program, performance, and photo-op. Light refreshments will be served.
