FY25 Allocation

$22,700

FY25 Local Priorities

The Mid-Cape Cultural Council is made up of volunteers appointed by the Barnstable Town Council and Yarmouth Select Board. Council members annually review grant applications to determine how to distribute the funds allocated annually to our community through the Mass Cultural Council’s Local Cultural Council program. Each Local Cultural Council is responsible for ensuring that its grants and programs provide the greatest possible benefit to the community. To achieve that goal, the Council solicits input from the community to determine its cultural needs and help establish local priorities for funding.
After soliciting input from the community, in FY25 the Mid-Cape Cultural Council will prioritize funding for:
• Projects involving interpretive sciences, nature or environmental education and programs
• Arts education and instruction
• Programs for children
• Projects celebrating local history and cultural diversity
• Free and low-cost events
