Amesbury Cultural Council

The Amesbury Cultural Council is a group of local volunteers, appointed by the Mayor, who help promote and facilitate cultural activities and the arts in Amesbury.

The Council oversees the distribution of Mass Cultural Council grants; organizes the annual Amesbury Open Studio Tour; curates an Art@CityHall exhibit four times each year; supports the work of Amesbury’s Poet Laureate; and executes, supports, and promotes public art projects and cultural events throughout the City.

Your ACC Grant Proposal will accomplish any/all of the following:

-Offer free/affordable musical + theatrical performances for the residents of Amesbury
-Offer free/affordable visual arts + folk crafts workshops, instruction + programming to the residents of Amesbury
-Offer cultural festivals + community-building opportunities to the residents of Amesbury
-Enhance our city through public art installations, placemaking, downtown revitalization, and historical interpretation, etc.
