Swansea Cultural Council

We are a group of local volunteers dedicated to supporting and enriching arts, culture and education opportunities within our community. Our efforts help fund and promote programs in the visual and performing arts, music, history, science, lectures and educational field trips. We prioritize in-person programs that take place in Swansea and/or have the greatest impact on Swansea residents across all age groups.

FY27 Allocation

$12,500

FY27 Local Priorities

-We believe in the power of culture by encouraging and supporting indigenous and ethnic groups, people of color and individuals with disabilities to apply for grants.
-Due to the many requests we receive we often opt to partially fund a grant request
-We prioritize applicants who offer programs and/or events that take place in Swansea

FY27 Local Guidelines

-The minimum grant is at least $250. Currently we do not have a cap on our awards, but we try to fairly distribute our awards allocation that we receive from the Mass Cultural Council
– Any applicant that has previously applied can reapply every grant cycle
– We operate using the reimbursement allocation vs. direct funding
