FY26 Allocation

$10,200

FY26 Local Priorities

Based on Community feedback, our Funding Priorities for FY26 currently are:

Project Categories | Projects that focus on Public Art, Musical Performances, Educational, Literary, and STEM programs for all age groups from children to seniors.

Project Content | New applicants and new programs, including those by or about traditionally marginalized communities, are prioritized over repeat applicants and repeat programs, so we can broaden the variety, diversity and depth of cultural events and activities that we bring to our community.

Partial Funding | CCC will prioritize partial funding of multiple projects over fully funding fewer projects, to allow us to bring more programs to our community.

Project Reach | Projects and performances that include persons broadly representative of our entire community are prioritized; projects and performances open to the entire public will generally be prioritized. The CCC strives to fund projects that will benefit, engage, inform and entertain our community.

Locations | We prioritize projects that take place in Charlton. Letters of support from the locations where the proposed project will take place, submitted with the application for funding, will help the Council to prioritize those applications that are supported by local venues and will take place in our community.

FY26 Local Guidelines

Each year, with the help of public input, the CCC reviews our Priorities and Guidelines to ensure we are best serving our community. The CCC uses public feedback to determine its funding priorities for its annual grant cycle. Projects and programs that align with the funding priorities are given preference in the Council’s review of applications; the council regularly receives more grant applications in any grant cycle than we have the funding to support. Carefully drafted priorities ensure a fair, reasonable and equitable decision-making process for Council members who are entrusted with these choices.
