Agawam Cultural Council
The Agawam Cultural Council is an all-volunteer local partner of the Massachusetts Cultural Council, a state agency, and is funded, in part, by the MCC.
The ACC is charged with advancing the Arts in our community by dispersing state-provided monies via a grant application process. In addition, utilizing funds from our own fundraising efforts — including freewill audience donations — we have made it our mission to present a range of engaging, entertaining, and educational events open to audiences of all ages
from Agawam and the surrounding communities.

FY27 Local Priorities
The Agawam Cultural Council exists to promote the Arts and Cultural Events in the Town of Agawam/Feeding Hills. The Council’s focus is on ‘true’ cultural events with emphasis placed on large events open to the general public. In an effort to encourage large public events, our grant distribution method is ‘direct payment’ so that organizations do not have to wait until after their event for reimbursement. All grant submissions must include a letter indicating approval to use the location indicated in the application. As a condition of grant approval, the Agawam Cultural Council may request the grant applicant to appear before the council to provide additional information about their event and to answer any questions from the Cultural Council. Please Note: Per Massachusetts Cultural Council (MCC) guidelines, all events that receive a grant need to be open to, or on exhibition for, the public as a whole and not individual groups. All grant applications not meeting the MCC guidelines, or failing to supply the required documentation, will be denied.
FY27 Local Guidelines
All grant submissions must include a letter indicating approval to use the location listed in the application, plus a letter stating how the project benefits the general public as a whole – not specific groups or individuals. Both documents uploaded to the additional documents section of the online application. Missing either one = denial for failure to comply. As a condition of approval, ACC may request the applicant appear before the council to answer questions.
