With the current public health crisis, many arts educators and Creative Youth Development (CYD) organizations have had to pivot to remote learning, and a critical need has emerged regarding how best to serve youth in these different ways.
Please join EdVestors, the City of Boston Mayor’s Office of Arts and Culture, and the Mass Cultural Council in a virtual conversation exploring remote learning practices in arts education and CYD. Youth arts organizations and practitioners will share tips and challenges they face in serving youth remotely, while keeping their practices consistent with their missions and CYD values of equity, access, youth voice, and collective action.
Speakers include: Jenny Shulman, Director of Operations at ZUMIX, Lindsay Williams, Associate Director of Education Programs at Actors’ Shakespeare Project, and Representatives from the BPS Visual and Performing Arts Department and Partner. BPS will also share updates and answer questions regarding BPS reopening and partners working with schools.
