SPRINGFIELD CULTURAL COUNCIL FUNDING PRIORITIES:
The Springfield Cultural Council supports the mission of the Massachusetts Cultural
Council, to promote excellence, access, education and (particularly) diversity in the
Arts. It accepts applications for project grants as well as field trip grants via the standard grant application.
The maximum amount funded for each grant is $5,000.
SPRINGFIELD CULTURAL COUNCIL LOCAL GUIDELINES:
The Springfield Cultural Council supports project grants produced by individual artists as well as organizations with the end resulting in an artistic showing or demonstration that has community value.
All applicants (including individual artists) must demonstrate public benefit in their proposed projects.
The council will only accept applications from the online application submission process.
Application deadline. All applicants must submit completed applications by the deadline, November 16,th
Late applications cannot be accepted.
The Springfield Cultural Council supports, ticket subsidy programs, field trips, virtual programming, and creative programming due to the Global Pandemic.
Program eligibility. Applicants may apply for grants for programs that take place during an 12 month window of eligibility between January 15th through December 15th of the following year. This means that applicants may apply for projects that have already happened or which happen prior to Local Cultural Councils’ grant announcements, with the knowledge that funding is not guaranteed.
Applicant eligibility. Applicants must reside in Greater Springfield. The applicant, or person leading the project /program, should have been engaged in the kind of activity for which funds are requested for at least one year

We are asking each grant submission to be submitted with one signed original application and 8 photo copies. Also enclose supporting documents ie. DVD, pictures or samples reflecting your grants goal. The maximum funded for each grant is $5,000.00.
