Phillipston Cultural Council
The Phillipston Cultural Council supports a variety of programs in our community that promote and foster an appreciation for the arts, humanities and sciences. We are committed to funding a diverse sampling of programs in each of these areas.
In the past, we have worked collaboratively with the Narragansett Regional School System, the Phillipston Library, and with local artists, entertainers, and organizations to bring quality cultural programs to the families of Phillipston.

FY23 Local Priorities
When reviewing applications the Phillipston Cultural Council has developed the following set of priorities to aid in our decision making. In addition to the state criteria, we will evaluate and give priority to the following:
-Applicants that have made prior arrangements for a local venue
-We will try to fully fund as many applications as possible, however in the event that we are only able to partially fund a project, we will give priority to those projects that will still be able to proceed with only partial funding
-We will try to fund a variety of projects that not only serve many different age groups but also consistently attract a large majority of townspeople
-All else being equal, we will give priority to local applicants whose projects pertains to, affects, and can be easily accessible by townspeople and will directly enhance the cultural strength of our community
FY23 Local Guidelines
In addition to the state guidelines, the Phillipston Cultural Council has determined the following:
-Applicants are responsible for their own advertising, as we have limited resources to aid in this area
-Applicants holding events must contact the council at least 60 days prior to their event with the date, time and location so a council member may attend the event for quality assurance
