This webinar is designed to meet your need for information about workplace sexual harassment. Sexual harassment can undermine an organization’s programmatic mission and can cause significant harm. As organizational leaders, you need to know how to prevent sexual harassment and how to respond if it occurs. From our webinar presenter — HR Lawyer Judy Polacheck (www.polacheckhrlaw.com) — you’ll learn about legal obligations for small and large organizations. Also on the agenda: Writing a harassment prevention policy and managing a hybrid workforce of employees, independent contractors and gig workers. While clear answers don’t always come easily in this arena, you’ll leave with practical strategies for intervening when you encounter harassing and discriminatory behavior. You’ll probably also arrive at a more nuanced understanding of your role in creating a safe and respectful working environment.
Judy Polacheck is an HR lawyer who helps businesses manage their US and global workforces. She is outside employment counsel to companies in the technology sector, life sciences and other industries, advising them on employment law compliance and the management of employment risk. Judy’s special focus is on workforces that are not structured in a uniform way. When remote workers, contractors, gig workers and online labor platforms are providing labor, Judy’s strategic legal advice is targeted to that distinctive business reality. Judy holds leadership positions in the American Bar Association and the Boston Bar Association. Her degrees are from Columbia Law School and Harvard College.
