Health & Wellness through Creativity Panel

We invite you to join us for a convening where we’ll further discuss Arts on Prescription and the role arts and culture play in health and wellness. This event will feature a panel discussion with cultural and health care leaders who have been closely involved in this work. They’ll share insights and findings of how and why the creative and cultural sector is an essential partner in the fields of health and wellness.

This panel discussion will be moderated by CultureRx Program Manager Erik Holmgren, Ed.D. and expected speakers include:

  • Käthe Swaback, Program Officer, Mass Cultural Council
  • Vanessa Ford, Associate Director, Community Music School of Springfield
  • Jonathan Alicea, President & CEO, Latino Counseling Center
  • Staff representatives from Art Pharmacy

After the speaking program, all are welcome to visit one of the five break-out rooms on various topics:

  1. Programs At-a-Glance – Meet with our program officers to learn more about Mass Cultural Council’s grant programs for the creative and cultural sector this year
  2. Arts on Prescription – Join our CultureRx staff and partners to learn more about the practice of Arts on Prescription
  3. Local Cultural Councils – Members of our Communities Team will provide an overview of LCC Program grants and a Q&A
  4. MASSCreative – Join our statewide advocacy partners, MASSCreative, to hear about their policy platform for the 2023-2024 legislative session on Beacon Hill
